About
Gabbro Play started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots of weird little mobile games nobody else was covering. At some point it made more sense to write things down, so here we are. The site is independent and we answer to nobody except the people reading it.
Everything you see here comes from games we installed, opened, and actually stuck with for a while. We don't review something after two minutes of tapping around. If a title needs a slow start before it clicks, we give it that time and say so.
We pick games across every genre on purpose. It would be easy to only cover puzzles, but the best surprises tend to hide in corners you don't usually visit — a strategy game from a two-person team, a racing title with no marketing budget, a card game built by someone in their spare time.
Nothing here is sponsored. We buy or download the games ourselves and write what we think. When we get something wrong, we fix it and leave a note.
